Be Still & Listen – A Quiet Retreat Weekend
A slow, simple solo escape in the company of women who want the same.
-
Quiet Company
This isn’t a group trip or a social weekend full of plans — it’s something softer. We each come to rest, read, create, and breathe a little more slowly. You’ll have a room of your own and the rhythm of your choice, with just enough shared time at meals to feel grounded, safe, and never alone.
-
Time for You
The days are yours. Write in your journal with a cup of tea, nap in the afternoon sun, walk along the shore at sunset, or lose yourself in a book in your cozy room. No pressure to perform, no small talk — just space to do what you came for, with others doing the same.

A Peaceful Pause
We’ll stay in a thoughtfully chosen home in coastal NC — a place with room to rest, a pool to float in, and the beach a short walk away. Evenings are quiet, and meals out together are simple and optional. You’ll return home rested, reset, and maybe just a little more yourself.
Where: The North Carolina Coast
We’ll gather in Duck, NC, the northern Outer Banks, in late September/early October, when the off-season beaches will be wide open and calm and the heat (we hope) will be softening into fall.
Duck is known for its peaceful boardwalk, indie bookshops, art galleries, and long walking paths. You’ll receive a personalized guide to introvert-friendly spots nearby, from nature trails to tucked-away libraries and local art spaces, along with a small gift made locally to welcome you and enhance your stay.
What to Expect: A Slow Rhythm
Arrive anytime on Day 1 and settle in. We’ll check out by 10 am on the last day. Meals are simple and optional: planned shared lunches and dinners out for those who want company. You’ll receive a “packing and preparing” list in advance, including grocery store recommendations for stocking up on breakfast items or any other meals you’d like to eat at the house.
Each day, there will be two scheduled walks — one silent and one social — for anyone who wants to begin or end the day in motion, in quiet, or in connection with each other. You’ll get a printed map with the routes and meet-up times. Of course, you’re welcome to walk the routes anytime on your own. It’s your time!
The house itself will be a quiet zone: no TV, no tech in common areas, and no chatter in reading spaces. That said, light, spontaneous invitations are always welcome — if you want to ask if anyone would like to join you on a walk or a visit to an art gallery, that’s perfectly okay. We don’t want to eliminate connection, the goal is to simply keep distractions to a minimum and be respectful of each other’s experience.
What’s Included: Privacy and Space to Breathe
Each guest will have their own private room — always. When you sign up, you’ll review photos of the entire house and choose your room based on availability. Pricing for each room is slightly different based on amenities (like a private bath, larger bed, or a view). Also included:
A tech box in the common area, if you’d like to unplug completely or during certain times of day
A small welcome gift to enhance your solo stay
A retreat booklet mailed to you ahead of time, with:
A simple schedule, incl. optional walks & meals
Local “quiet places” guide
Packing/prep checklist
